I was wondering if anyone out there took step 3 within a few months of grad from med school? I live and plan to practice in New York. I was a practicing PA in emergency medicine for 10 years prior to med school and feel I have more than enough experience and now the knowledge to sit for step 3 asap.

How far off base am I? I am not trying to sound like an ***--I really am asking for advice. Thanx

This same conversation is taking place one thread above yours. Why start a new thread? Let's consolidate this thread with the other please.

The short answer is that you cant register until AFTER you graduate, after by the time you get registered its too late to schedule a testing appointment by the time residency starts on July 1st.

Sucks, I know
