Take the C, possibly D, or a W?

No question about it, take the W. While it may look not so great, it will not impact your GPA. Where as a C will not look so great AND it will impact your GPA ( for the worse). This maybe different if your transcript had some W's on it already, but for it to be your first, you NEED to take the W.
I know it must suck having to withdraw after a ton of hard work, but sometimes you have to bite the bullet and do whats best for your future. Good luck.

My vote is for taking the W. 1 or 2 will not negatively affect your application, but a C will hurt your GPA.

I was in the exact same boat with the second semester of Ochem, I decided to try to go for the C, and then I met the ACS National Ochem Final and cried, and earned myself a D. Long story short, go with the W! 🙂

Take a W, and retake the course when you are ready, get some extra help if you can. good luck!
