hello everyone this is my first post here :)
I am a FMG graduate in 1987 with OBGYN speciality.I recently migrated to USA and its difficult to pay bills right now. I was adviced by someone to give USMLE and apply for Family Medicine Residency.
I wanted to know how diffcult it is for a FMG who is this old to land a spot with above average score?

I was thinking of going towards the PA or RN route but even that is time consuming.
I know few physicians in USA but they havent given me a clear answer on if it is worth to take USMLE at this age.
Anyone here who took the exams at old age and succeeded? Or is there anything i can do to stay in the healthcare field?

PS : I apologize if its in the wrong section.

I am in my late 40s. 26 years since graduation ! Wont that be a hindrance? I want to be in the medical field by any means!!
I am in the US and have a greencard

Again thank you for the response that last sentence is kind of assuring. :)
