how bad would this will look to take ochem 2 pass/fail vs. taking a C or dropping it all together? my gpa is already crap

I don't think a medical school would accept a pass/fail grade for one of its prerequisites. Plus, like the above poster said, if it's a required course in your major your undergrad will probably not let you P/F it.

yeah, I don't think you can pass/no pass a course in your major.

umm if youre gpa is already crap and you havnt even taken OCHEM yet, you wont survive medical school.. Honestly i doubt you will make it far enough to even apply..

Well, most medical schools require orgo 1 and 2, so dropping it entirely (unless you plan to take it later) isn't an option. Most med schools also require a letter grade in required courses (like orgo), so taking is pass/fail isn't an option either.

That leaves taking the class and getting the best grade you can. Although your "crap" GPA is worrisome, you definitely won't be the first person in the world applying to medical school with less-than-amazing grades in organic chemistry!

Out of curiosity, why are you so convinced you'll get a C?
