I took biochem 1 and 2 at my regular school. Through this online university, the course is called intro to biochem (corresponds to biochem 1??) but 80-85% of the syllabus corresponds to my biochem 2 course.

Then their "biochem" course (no intro in the title) has 80% of the syllabus corresponding to my biochem 1 course.

So given...

1) mismatching syllabus to course titles vs. my regular school's courses

2) 80% of the syllabus matching only

What would happen?

Do you think adcoms really sit there and investigate a single student's retakes with that much detail when there are thousands of applicants? If yes don't replace it. If no then replace and let them find out. You probably know my vote.

isnt there a criteria for grade replacement? lol

Adcoms don't look at it in regards to grade replacement, AACOMAS does. AACOMAS usually goes off of matching course descriptions. Therefore, it would probably replace the biochem 2 grade with the into to biochem grade. That said, you would need to contact AACOMAS to see if it counts.

AACOMAS will look into it. They have and will.

Wouldn't risk it, BIOCHEM is only a pre-req at 1 or 2 schools - don't waste your time.

Its easier for freshman level courses, don't risk it for upper levels. You don't want to end up taking it and it not counting. Also AACOMAS won't tell you in advance if it counts - so if there is any indication that it won't count (from what you said it is very obvious) then don't take the risk.

It's really the only 2 classes I can retake and be successful in (C+ and B-). Other online courses I could take would have a lab component which becomes a huge hassle.

C+ and B- aren't all that worth to retake, C+ is but if those are the only ones you have then w.e.

Yep all I got...
Checked again, seems to be more like 90% or so similarity in the syllabus, just depends on interpretation of the wording (could be even higher). I did contact the though.
