Is there a difference between taking classes at your undergrad institution after graduating or just taking a 5th year?
Advantages/disadvantages? Financial aid difference?

Thanks for the help in advance

Depends on your stats. Beats 30k for a SMP. If your <3.50 i would look into the SMP though...

I know from looking at certificate PA programs that aren't masters, once you receive your degree you aren't eligible to undergrad financial aide, meaning no federal loans, grants or that stuff. My suggestion would be to take all your university's reqs for your degree but ONE class, and take that one class in your spring semester your 5 year.

As far as med school applications go, grades from taking a class after graduation is figured into your application cGPA the same way it would be if you took it before graduation, so long as the course isn't taken due to candidacy for a grad degree.

Besides financial aid eligibility, another advantage to delaying graduation is maintaining registration priority for classes.

Depending on your income level, there can be a huge difference in your financial aide. Generally most grant aide is cut off after you get a bachelor's degree.
