Is taking 3 gen physics and 3 calc-based physix an okay idea? I got 4.0 in all gen physix but then now I'm trying to change my major, so I need 3 calc-based physix to get into the department... So now, if I take calc-based physix, the school says it won't count towards my graduation credit.
Q: will the med school count my physix grade towards my bcpm and overall gpa?????

Also, my school has 2 different sequences of math.

-Math 124(derivatives), Math 125(integrals), Math 126(Vectors)
-Math 144(derivatives), Math 145(integrals), Math 146(Matrix)

The top sequence : calculus for engineering and other majors
The bottom sequence: calculus for lifescience majors

NOW , (read carefully)----->I took 124 during my freshman, and thought I wanna major in science , so took 144 and 145, but then now, I wanna major in engineering , so I need to take 125, and 126...

and after all this crap, I will end up having two derivative classes and two integral classes on my final transcript...

Q: will this look bad to adcoms becuz I'm taking the classes that have the similar contents and materials multiple times????

Your help would be much appreciated !

Nope. That's completely fine.

physix... becuz

Not to be rude, but is it really that much more work to spell out physics? I mean we're talking one more letter. And becuz? Is this a text message?

it loox worse to adcomz when you write words like "physix" and "becuz"

Is it really that big of a deal?

At least his post isn't as stupid as most of yours. The content of most of these piss-poor threads is equivalent of TlK1nG LyK3 DiZ.

Sorry...I don't speak AIM. All I can say is that, yes, calc-based physics will count towards your science gpa calculation. It shouldn't look bad to adcoms at all that you changed your major. Just make sure you complete the minimal requirements and keep a good gpa.

Is it that big of a deal? No. Would it be much easier to read and taken more seriously? Yes.

Haha, I totally beat you to it...lol dont be a h8r

You only beat me because I spent too long considering whether to write "worse" or "worz"

FYI, I decided "worz" was too much of a stretch.

Sorry, I can't take this statement too seriously, as it doesn't really parse.

Sorry, an unintentional typo...which is different than purposely sounding like you are writing a text message while asking for medical school advice. Anyway, to the OP, good luck, I hope you get the info you need.

speaking AIM is an awsome skill, it helps you relate to the patients of the age of technology

haha thanks for great advice guys. I was worrying if adcoms would look at my somewhat repetitive calculus classes as mere "gpa boosters." So I had to think very carefully when I was registering for the classes..

and also I think I should be more considerate next time when asking for advice.
thanks !
