Hello~~

My question is...is it okay to take ONE bio lab course at a community college?
I completed gchem,ochem, physics wit 1 year of lab.....BUT

I took 1year of biology lecture..not lab......AND I took only 2quarters of bio labs...so I need one more quarter of bio lab...But I plan to take 1 bio lab at community college because I am graduating this year with econ major and I am gonna apply next year......But my friend told me that "Dont take pre-req at community college!!!"

Is it okay to take just one bio lab at community college?

My friend told me,,,,,some schools don't accept community college credit...

Even just one class at community college is bad enough???

My GPA is 3.9+.....does it hurt my chance to get in?

In my opinion I think it would be ok to take the bio lab at a cc, I would think adcoms would hold more value on your lecture grade than bio lab. But I would still strive for an A in the class.

Is there anyone who knows the list of cc-credit-accepting-dental school?

Or anyone who get in dental schools with cc credit?? and if possible could you release your GPA and DAT?

With the cost of college tuition raising I'm sure we will see more and more people having to take "some" classes at CC's. I'm don't know anything about dental schools rejecting those credits/classes, but over all a lab in lower division should not be too bad as far as "looks". I have friends in pharmacy and dental school who took anatomy and physiology, microeconomics, and even chemistry classes at CC's and are "in" their 4 year programs.

My school is raising tuition 10% for next year....

I have a friend who finished most of his pre reqs at a cc (santa monica community college) and now he is a dental student at UCLA. The adcoms did ask him why he did that but it was nothing that they "frowned" upon.

raising tuition 10%??? OMG!!!!

With all the education funding cuts they were thinking at least a 50% increase! Luckily students got organized to complain and wrote letters. So the Gov decided to cut in other ways to avoid that much increase 👍

I have 56 credits from CC. Ask me anything.
