I'm currently a freshman at an upper-level private university, and my stats class is currently unreasonable (the curve is absolutely nonexistent) and I'm fairly sure I will end with a ~B or even a B- despite performing well above average on the exams.
My university allows one satisfactory / unsatisfactory class each semester, so should I take stats as S/U? I realize it's a recommended class for med schools nowadays, but I would be taking biostatistics next year anyway (and I've heard it's much easier than the stats I am currently in). I'm confident I can pull off an A in Biostat, and my other classes this semester are definitely looking to be As, so would the damage to my GPA by not taking it S/U be worth the S on my transcript?
