Taking a class pass fail

So i basically finished all my required classes besides electives so next semester i am taking 3 online classes an 1 night classes. I was thinking of taking a medical embryology class pass/fail to focus on actually learning instead of the actual grade. I have yet to be accepted to a med school yet so i do not want a "B" to negatively affect me if i was forced to take a year off. Am i just better off taking easy classes next semester to boost my GPA?
