So before i begin thank you to all who advised me on what to do to get my professor to hustle with the LOR! finally got it.

so to summarize, I recently registered for A&P I at a local community college to be taken as a summer course -- found out today that the class doesn't actually begin until July. This messes up my plan to take A&P II in July following A&P I which i presumed started in June (i actually registered for the only one that starts in July lol!)

So there are still seats left in A&P II for the June semester, I can even register tonight!

My questions is, for those of you who have taken the A&P, would it be possible to do 2 before 1?
I've taken several general bio courses, 2 cell bio, and 1 molecular biology; and also took A&P I in high school through a program with a local college; although admittedly hardly remember anything from that course.

From my very limited knowledge of A&P classes (mostly drawing from the memories I have from A&P I in HS), it seems like it is mostly rote memorization of different body systems and mechanisms by which our body functions? which if true means seems to suggest that I could take A&P II before I.

I'm doing research myself at this moment to see if it would be possible. Really the only fear I have that would keep me from taking the course is that there is a gross amount of information I would need from A&P I in order to secure an A in A&P II. If this is not the case and it is just a matter of different body systems/mechanisms taught in each I will definitely take II ASAP. '

Thanks again for all the help! Really love you guys here give the BEST advice to me about all matters academic and pre-med related really can't thank y'all enough 🙂

Also as a sidenote keep in mind it is at a community college (Gateway Community College in New Haven) that I've taken classes at before and they were all laughably easy. I'm not sure at this is different being a 4 week summer course in A&P but my experience with a few general chemistry courses here (retook them all at my new UNI when i transferred) was that they were soooo easy/

I've taken a bunch of courses out of sequence (and without pre-reqs, took the pre-req after the course it was a pre-req for), although I have no specific answer for this since my UG splits anatomy and physiology into two courses. But it was totally doable for me.

Question is if they'll let you actually register. The CC I've taken courses out wouldn't let you register without the pre-req, the computer would stop me lol

In my case no.. A&P I was anatomy, A&P II was phys. I would have been impossible without I since our prof. taught it to us earlier!
Can you see how each course is split up?

It all depends on the school and your base knowledge.

A&P I was route memorization, especially labs.

A&P II at my school was straight physiology, minus starting with cardio.

If you have a decent understanding of basic anatomy go for it, and if not you do have a solid month to brush up on it; there are plenty of free resources to help.
