hello.

so if one is taking a year off following 2nd year for research, what advice do people who've done this have so that when one returns to 3rd year they will be as good if not better had they not disrupted their medical studies?

ie books to read, things to do, etc

Next year, I'll be taking a year off to work on my MPH. I'm planning on volunteering at our student run free clinic a few times a month so that my clinical skills don't get too rusty. However, my preceptor was MD/PhD and he says to just enjoy the time off, work hard on your research, and it will all come back to you. Good luck :luck:
