Taking AAMC FL 3 earlier than usual?

Would it be foolish to go ahead and do AAMC FL 3 about a month before I take the real deal? I'm just kind of dying to know where I stand, so I can direct my studying properly this next month. I already took AAMC FL 1, 2 and the sample last year and retook this year with good scores, but those are likely inflated...thoughts?

I did the same thing and took FL3 1.5 months before exam date. Found out that PS was much different on AAMC versus NS and researched methods to improve. Added premed95s Anki deck to my study and feel certain that gave me a 1point jump in BB and 4-5 point boost in PS. I have not taken the MCAT yet just comparing to aamc sample and FLs.

Was AAMC FL 3 your first AAMC FL after NS exams? Or did you mean to say the AAMC FL P/S was different from the rest of the AAMC FLs?

Also, do you have a link to that Anki deck? 🙂

I took a couple NS exams (3 to be exact) and then when I assumed I had a feel for things I used FL3 to check my progress. I feel NS PS was Similar but AAMC PS feels more analytical/ what-if and data analysis than the NS exams.
If you want a comparison do the PS section bank from AAMC and see if that feels like NS.

Im actually doing FL1 right now. CP CARS felt fine I should have 127/127 or 128/127. BB seemed to not go well and I usually score 128 easily there but may drop to 127 🙁
Hopefully I can work in a 129 PS that section starts in 10 mins.

Hope you do well! Good luck 🙂 I thought the PS section of FL 1 was easier than most, so that might be your best section too. PS on FL 2 on the other hand was a whole other story...
