I'm applying to pharmacy programs like USciences, Wilkes, St. John's, etc. I took the SATs 3 times as a junior and I sent all 3 to USciences (my top choice). I started to take the ACTs and I got a 25 comp., and then a 27...but I'm signed up for the October 26th ACT still and I was just wondering if it looks to USciences that I have taken both test 3 times each for a total of SIX TIMES. I'm thinking about just not sending the 3rd ACT score b/c they already will five scores and it's rolling admission and the sores won't be sent out until the middle of Nov. What do you guys think? Does six tests look bad/desperate? Do I even have a chance at USP?

Thanks

I took it 3 time, my school only takes the best score. And I just took the OCT 5th SAT and resent all my scores and they said they will only count that one if its higher, if not, they will act like it never happened! 🙂

I seem to remember my college counselor saying that taking the ACT or the SAT more than 3 times was overkill for college admissions, so if you stop taking them now, you should be fine!
Also, it's hard to say whether or not you have a chance at USP without knowing your other stats and EC's.

When i was in high school I took the ACT three times and it never affected me any. You will be fine.

I took the ACT 10 times (and the SAT once). My parents promised me a new car if I could get a full ride to college. I scored 26 the first time freshman year, then raised it to a 30 on try two. The other 8 tries slowly climbed from 30 to 33 before graduation. It hasn't affected me negatively at all. All the schools I applied to just took your top score. That was 8 years ago and now I'm over halfway through a veterinary program. Once you get in to undergrad, few people care about your ACT/SAT scores and high school GPA. It becomes all about what you did in college by and large.

I took the SAT 3 times and the ACT twice, as long as the colleges you are applying to only count your highest scores I can't see why it matters. Worked out well for me and I got in a good school...
