I've essentially finished college, but have to take 6 credits over the summer in order to graduate (a language GER along with something else).

The reason I have to take 6 credits is that the school doesn't give financial aid unless 6 credits are taken in one session. The language GER is 4 credits, and I am looking for another 2 credit course.
(each credit hour is a thousand dollars, so I don't want to be paying an extra 2 grand for a 4 credit course I don't need)

So my options pretty much shrink to 2 PE courses, or Chem 135: Fundamentals in Chemistry

I was wondering, would this reflect badly on me? Do you recommend I take the two PE courses instead?

Haha, I'm not sure
I guess I'm still stuck in college application mode where you have to take all the AP classes you can take~

I'm just worried that med schools might see this as a cheap trick to boost my GPA~~

is this not a problem?

Well, it would be pretty obvious... If you already completed OrgChem 2 then go back in time to learn what protons and electrons are by taking baby chem -- it will be rather transparent.

Will it be a deal breaker? Prob not.
Will an adcomm think "def gpa boosting"? Likely.

I recommend not to do that if you've done harder chemistry already. Take something else like PE or a Piano class or whatever comes easy to you.

Oh, so it will look bad??

That's disappointing~
=(
I don't want to end up taking two PE classes...

Oh, what if I decide to take the class pass/fail?

Seems like a perfect solution!
(I don't have much variety as I only need 2 credits. A four credit class will cost me over 2 grand extra)

They may wonder why the heck you took an easy chem class P/F.

Looks like there is really no cut and dry way to look at it. I would just enjoy some good old PE.

A good 2 credit class offered at most schools is Medical Terminology. Pretty easy and definitely relevant!

It's not going to look bad. Who cares if they know you're GPA padding? You think they don't know that 2/3 the stuff people do for ECs is just garbage filler? A good grade in an easy class still affect your numbers positively, and at the end of the day, that's really all that matters.

oh man, I am really confused now~~

I don't want to make the wrong decision...

Thanks for the input
=)

Are there perhaps any other opinions here?
I'm a student that needs all the edge I can get

but I'd really like to avoid taking an extra 10 hours of classes per week (or paying an extra $2,000), unless it is really necessary

Sorry for the confusion
My choices are pretty much:

1.) take any "normal" class (Music, regular science courses, english, etc) and pay an extra $2,000

2.) Take two PE classes, resulting in 10 extra hours of classes a week (difficult when you have a full time job like I do)

3.) Take the two credit Chem class and risk looking like a doosh on my medical school application

Ummm always take the cheap, easy classes.
