Edit: New question: would it be worth it to do this accelerated plan of finishing chem 1/2 in the summer and organic chem+physics 1/2 in the Fall/Spring to be able to take the DAT in the summer of 2015? My cGPA wouldn't be above a 3.0 by time I applied to schools. If my cGPA was above a 3.0 in the Spring of 2016 would they be taken into account by dental schools or how does that work?

Summer would be fine. I always find them easier since you are so immersed in the subject.

The only downside to chem in the summer, at least in the 40 year old chem labs at my state school, is that the labs are hotter than the furthest depths of hell. If you can handle that, I thinking banging out a chem sequence (I did orgo I/II in summer 2012) is a great idea. We had tests every Friday, so you really needed to keep up with the material, but if you're willing to study daily acing the course should be no problem.

I took chem 1 and its lab during the summer, wasnt bad at all, it was actually easier. If I recall class and lab were 4 days a week and they spanned most of the morning and afternoon, so it was kinda like being back in high school but with a later start time and a 2 hour gap b/w classes.

Whether taking all of chem in one summer will be too much for you depends on you. I dont think its too much, and doing this is a fantastic idea. You save yourself a big chunk of time by taking it in the summer, which btw is just as good as taking it during regular semesters.

Would this be too much?
Gen chem 1 lecture: MWF - 3 hours
Gen chem 1 lab: TTH - 4 hours
4 weeks and a couple days

Same situation for gen chem 2 lecture + lab. 4 weeks long and 5 days a week.

Too much? My final planned undergrad semester is in the Fall of this year and then I'd go on to my DIY post-bacc. Would it be better to speed up the process so I'd be able to organic chem/physics in the coming Fall/Spring. DAT 2015?

The other plan would be take chem 1 this Fall in my last semester/graduate. Chem 2 in spring at new school. Either organic chem or physics during the summer then I'd take the DAT in 2016

Chem 1 cake. Chem 2 harder and at my school the unknowns were difficult. I managed an A in both but I definitely studied lol. I took 2 over the summer C. Idk how it would be in 4 weeks..

Bumping with a new question in the original post so I don't have to take up more space with a new thread
