Taking classes during summer?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
i went full-time two summers. i took everything from independent study to major requirements to general education requirements. if you don't mind choosing work instead of play--go for it! you'll either end up with an easy senior year or (like me) graduate early.

good luck.

I was considering taking a demanding class, that way I could concetrate on it more.

I have taken summer school every year. I took calculus as a sophomore, English as a junior, and plant physiology and ecology/animal behavior as a junior.

I've taken classes the past three summers, and find that summer classes are much easier for me than regular semester-length classes. You're into the material every day, for a couple of hours, and it's only for about a month. This makes it easier not to forget stuff over the course of a semester, and you learn more because it's in your face all the time. I had Organic I and Physics I first summer session inf 2004, and Organic II and Physics II the second summer session, and did fine. I think I got more out of the classes in the summer than I would have if the class was over an entire semester.

I am going to take Organic I+ II for both 5 week sessions. Hey mustangsally65, how many hours a day were u taking class? Did u find it more difficult then the previous semesters because of such a short time period? The reason I am asking is because I might consider taking physics with it to. Does anyone have any recommendations?

summer school is a drag

Well, ya I could imagine that. But I would rather live in an on campus apartment then my parents house.
