Is it common for people to take courses like genetics or behavioural science courses AFTER they've been accepted (not matriculated yet) to meet the requirements?

I know some schools have genetics or behavioural science requirements.

If I don't have credits right now, should I take it now or take it after, if I have an offer (that's IF I have an offer).

Does anyone know if there is a hard deadline for when all your courses have to be done?

I really have no idea, but IF you are accepted doesn't that mean you already fulfilled the requirements?

Most school sites say you need to have them done before matriculation, but I haven't come across anything saying that you need to have them done before getting accepted. I was accepted to KCUMB before getting my genetics requirement done, but that might not be the same for all schools. I don't personally know anyone who took a pre-req after being accepted though, as my friends all had their pre-reqs done.

Do you mean you were already taking the courses as you applied, but was just waiting to finish that term?

I'm thinking if offers come by November or December. I am thinking of taking some online courses and finishing them in 2-3 weeks to satisfy the requirements.

Does anyone know if this feasible?

I know that at DMU they'll still accept you even if you haven't finished all the prereqs yet, you just have to have them completed by day one of classes (source: admissions counselor).

Thanks, that's good to know. It seems like its mostly as long as you finish them before you matriculate.

Can someone describe how they filled out their planned course work? (I know this is a ridiculous question).

For example, I'm not sure 100% which courses I want to take in the fall (in addition the pre-reqs), do I just list whatever?

Or do I just list the courses I know FOR SURE that I am going to take?

How did other people fill out this whole planned course work section.

It sounds like you have a lot of prereqs left. Why not just apply next year?

There were several people talking about the best way to fulfill the genetics or biochemistry requirement for OHSU on the already accepted Facebook page. Most were considering an on-line course because of cost or flexability.

All prerequisite courses must be completed before MATRICULATION. This seems universal.

Edit: for your planned courses. Don't you know what you have left to take in order to graduate? I would imagine that you should have already registered for fall classes by now. That leaves only spring classes, which you should take the rest of the classes you need to graduate. This late in the game it should be easy to know what you need to graduate.

Okay thanks. So I guess I have to include all coursework.
