Taking DAT 2 times?

Hi,
I'm new to SDN and I'm currently a Sophomore. I intend to take DAT in the end of my Junior year (June 1 probably) and complete my application by July. I wonder if it's common for pre-dents taking DAT 2 times. If I would like to take one before my final chance in June, when is the best time for me to take it?

Some people take it once, others take it up to three times. Really depends on whether or not you are a good test taker, so a little mix of luck and a good amount of knowledge.

Once you take the DAT, you have to wait 90 days to take it again. So if you want to take it June 2012 then taking it in late February, early March 2012 would be ideal.

And for the record, taking the DAT in July or even August is really not late at all. I have friends that have gotten accepted into great dental schools and they didn't take their exams until late August.
