I'm currently a senior, planning to graduate this year.
Due to family problem, I was planning since my sophomore year that I have to take 2~3years off after graduating before I can apply for dental school.

I heard from people that admission people prefer DAT taken within a year before applying.

I'm wondering if it's okay for me to take DAT once I graduate and take DAT while I'm working/studying for DAT after a year or two after my graduation.

I would appreciate some advice.
Thanks

The reason they said that because DAT usually expires 2-3 years after you take it (depend on what schools you apply to).
So take it within a year before you apply is a good choice.
