Taking DAT late?

Hey guys i plan to retake my DAT in Late August to Mid September. My question is your actual Dental application deadline in Feb of next year for the 2010 cycle so from June 2009-Feb 2010 which is a 8 month stretch. I've always been told that applying early is so important for your chances. But some of these people must be applying as late as December so my question is if i took my DAT in Late August or even Mid September will that be a problem?

It's better to postpone till you know you are ready. If you are ready then take it earlier though.
