Taking DAT next summer

I'm planning on taking the DAT next summer probably end of July/beg. of August. I really don't see myself being able to effectively study during the school year so I was hoping to study May-July. I'm planning on applying then too so is it risky to assume I'll do well (which I think I will) and only leave enough time to take the DAT once? Do most people only take it once before applying? Thanks!

class of 2011? i think 3 months is good.
