taking dat on sat 3/15 need advice???

Hey, im taking the test on sat and was wondering if anyone can give me some advice on the the organic section, that is th only section really scarring me. I will be studying organic chemistry all day tomarrow and really could use some advice or just any books you may recommend.thanks and this forum rockssssss!!!!!!!

Hey,

When I took the DAT, I found that Kaplan blue book had all I needed to know. But you probably know that already. So just make sure you know every single reaction in the blue book.. using the flash cards def. helps... I think you should be fine. I got C's in my two orgo classes, but after just memorizing all the reactions in the blue book I managed to get 23. So, if you're okay w/ rxns and involved reagents for each rxn, you should be okay. So if i were you, I would just spend most of the day memorizing rnxs.. and relax the questions on the real DAT are pretty straightforward. Good luck!!

DAT guidelines on the ADA website have the breakdown of how many q's on what topic, so take a look at that, it could help you focus on your weak areas.

At this point you should be reviewing. Trying to add to what you've learned so far by cramming isn't going to help you much. Review and focus on trouble spots.
