taking DAT

Depends on the school. Some will start interviewing as early as July, whereas some of the slower schools may not start until October. Your best bet is to take the DAT on the early side if you're really worried. Keep in mind that you can take the DAT after submitting the app. So if you take it 2-4 weeks after submitting, everything should arrive at the schools around the same time.

I took the DAT last October for the 2005 cycle, and I think I waited too long. No words from the schools so I've been trying to improve my application for 2006. I got 18/18/22, but my bio 18 and org 17 (and reading comp 17) was low for my major. What would be too long to wait as far as taking the DAT a second time? I'm planning to take it at the beginning of June, but more time would be great.

Also... I spent the past month reading Schaum's Bio... great info from that book. How does the Schaum's Chemistry/Org/Biological Chemistry book stand up for DAT prep? Oh! And, how often does Scholarware update the Top score pro tests? Can you order two CDs four mos apart, and get 8 tests? Thank's
