Hi all,

I was just wondering, is it common for it to be possible that while in medical school, you would be able to take classes within their undergraduate division; for example, foreign languages? I know some offer courses in medical Spanish or French, but I was wondering about more fundamental purist courses that typically undergrads take.

Thanks!

My school lets you take 3 classes for free at any school in the university, so you could theoretically take a foreign language with it. That said, I actually think its more effective to self learn languages than in a classroom setting. The medical language courses are a great way to supplement your language studies once you have a decent grasp on it.

I've definately heard of this. I believe UPitt and Tulane allow this. However, good luck finding such a course that would (a) fit into your schedule without conflicting with a medical school class and (b) finding the time to study for something "extra" like a legitimate college course whilst in medical school.
