I am transferring to a new university, and have a "light" load of 14 credit hours. Here are the classes and their credits:

Microbiology - 3
Organic Chemistry 1 - 4
Chemical Engineering Material & Energy Balances - 3
Calculus 3 - 4

Right now, I have lab for the ChemE class, but not for microbiology. I was wondering if any of you had any experience with taking such a lab after the course, and if it is worth it to add on the extra 2 credits for lab. I don't want to stretch myself too thin between getting used to a new university, getting involved on campus, and training for triathlons (how much I do of this depends on whether or not I qualify for Team USA in the fall, but that is another story).

Taking the lab after the course makes life so much easier. At least for ochem and biochem lab.
