Taking morning classes = Better LoR from Professors?

I just want to know if taking a morning class would get my professor to write me a better LoR in the near future? Some of my friends say that taking an 8AM class, for example, will show a professor that you are "dedicated" to their class (As long as you show up on time everyday). Is this anywhere true?

I'd much rather take a 12PM class than an 8PM class unless a morning class adds weight to a good LoR.

They're really not likely to notice who attends which of their sections. The best way to get a good LoR is to have multiple smaller, upper-level classes with a prof, or be a TA for them, or work in their lab. Otherwise, go to their office hours. Attending their early lecture is not going to be what gets you a good LoR.

I don't think this would matter at all. I'd rather enjoy my sleep. The good LORs come by chance or luck anyways

Go to office hours a few times, email him questions, make an A (most important) = Lor

This worked for all my lors so far

Not a chance. Letters based on you in class, rather than time outside of class (office hours & emailing questions) are generally subpar letters, possible exceptions for very small discussion-style classes. If your letter is about the class and when you took it rather than your personal interactions with the professor, it'll be 'damning by faint praise.'

It doesn't matter. Be enthusiastic, know your prof, do well, be nice, show dedication. That's how you get a good letter.

No, it is not true.

FWIW, as far as I am concerned, half of the day is already over by the time the clock strikes 8 AM.

Ok, I will say it did help me with one LOR because no one came to class at 8 AM, so those of us that did (10) had very intimate discussions with our professor during every class. BUT - I also went into to talk with him during office hours, so it was only a very small factor. It only helps if it means no one else is coming.

No, because *gasp* some college students actually are morning people, as are some professors.
Showing up for class does not make one stand out to a professor. Unless you and the prof are the only ones to make it in because a blizzard had dumped 3 feet of snow on campus.

I highly doubt it'll get you a good LOR. But usually there will be less students in an early lecture/lab (at least at my uni), so there is more opportunity for face to face interaction.
