I have been lurking on SDN for a while looking for advice on studying DAT, I finally had the time to study after my hardcore semester. Studied for around 20 days, hoping to land a decent so I can apply to dental school next cyle. I also find the Kaplan Practice test a little hard on the Reading. I got 19 on G CHem and 23 on O chem, 21 on Biol.

Please comment to on my chance for DAT >.<

If I was in your shoes and I was writing the DAT in a few days, having studied for less than a month, the last thing I would do is post on SDN.

I hope you've already viewed chad's videos for chemistry, do the quizzes. I did ALL the quiz questions 1 night before the DAT and it really helped.

Looks pretty good to me. I wouldn't let all the crazy scores on here get you down. The average acceptance into d-school is about a 19aa and 3.6gpa (some one correct if me wrong) so as long as your in that range you should be competitive.

I haven't taken the dat yet so I can't compare the practice test to the real thing

the real DAT is easier than the Kaplan practice tests, with the exception that Kaplan's PAT is easier than the real DAT. Go to the link that I have for my DAT Breakdown I I've put what my kaplan practice tests scores were and you can look at my DAT compared to those scores.

Now granted, it may be easier but don't be over confident when you taking the real DAT...try to relax, and definitely take the 15min break in the middle so that you can get your mind off of it.

u got balls to take test with less than a month of studying. its possible i guess but i would be pissing my pants.
gl let us know how it goes.

I studied for 14 days! I am surprised that I got to even finish reviewing all in time.
I'm not applying this cycle but worst case scenario is to take a 2nd one in 3 months from now.
Good luck btw!
