Hi!

I am planning to apply for School of Optometry entering Fall 2010.

I haven't taken OAT yet but I am taking OATs two times(Just in case I did bad on the first one)

If I am planning to take in mid-September for first one, Is it too late?

Why don't you just spend more time studying instead of shelling out ridiculous amounts of money to take it twice?

Take it when you're ready, but don't wait too long b/c if you do end up performing poorly, there is a 90 day waiting period until you can take it again.

Seconded.
The OAT is not the SAT; most students only take it once.
Even when people take it multiple times, there really isn't much room to improve upon (getting a 10-20 point increase is not going to sway too many schools).
It's a grueling ordeal to study for so many subjects, and when there is 90 days in between, it won't be a fun 3 months.
Most students will feel unprepared going into the exam (because we really can't have every factoid memorized from 4 science subjects) but end up doing well because the actual test will almost always look like questions you have already practiced on.

Try to focus on scoring well the first time. You have a month before mid-September, this should be plenty of time to study for the test if you plan the time properly.
