Do pharmacy schools care if you take a class online or not? I need to take a general biology course but can't fit it into my schedule. Also, do you know of any community colleges that have online gen bio classes? My local ones don't.

Probably depends on if it has a lab or not. If no lab, then I think your ok.

I've spoken with some of the pharmacy advisers at different schools (my undergrad has no pharmD) and they said it doesn't really matter. I was concerned because I wanted to take physics online during the summer, they said no problem go for it. So if you know you won't do well in a certain class see if there are any online alternatives that might be easier.

Take a look at the information provide by your schools of interest. I disagree with the two posters above, as from what I've seen (my schools of interest) most will not accept online science, math, or speech courses.

This. Most school's I am aware of do not accept pre-requisites taken online. So Gen Bio, you would have to take at the brick and mortar school.

You also have to see how your classes show up in your transcript. In my university, there is no difference btw online and on-campus courses in the transcript. Yet I did not risk it and only took non-science classes online... You never know 😛
