Has anyone come to this point yet?
Taking out loans for applications? Can anyone recommend a good company/bank?

You can very likely get an AMCAS fee waiver (FAP) If you're in real need of money for the applications themselves. Of course that won't cover travel and such.

So, before getting a private loan, I would suggest:
1) Parents
2) Family
3) Work for a while
4) Credit card with an introductory zero percent interest
