Taking Physics at CC?

Hi all, I will be heading off to college in the fall and am already thinking about when (and where) I will be taking my pre-reqs. Physics has always been a difficulty of mine (I barely got a 4 on AP Phys 1) I am thinking about taking it at a CC near home over the summer. Is this a bad idea? If I do my other pre-reqs like Orgo, Bio, Chem, etc. at my institution will it impact potential admissions to med school? I know it’s a bit early to be thinking about this but I am just wondering if doing physics at a CC should be an option as I have heard conflicting views on prerequisites at another school.

All tips and advice are appreciated!

You 'barely got a 4 on AP.." but isn't that still pretty good? I never had any physics classes in high school, and got an A in calc based physics both semesters so if it can be done by me with zero physics experience, it can be done with someone who was just a point away from the top score in the AP class. Pre-reqs from a CC, especially science ones, look bad - it's obvious you're trying to save your GPA. It is possible some med schools may not accept credit for this physics class if it is a specific pre-req class and not from a 4 year university, so you might want to look into that too! If you want to make the school year lighter and save $1000 on a summer class by taking it at a CC, consider psychology or sociology instead.
