So many med schools required a general biology and lab classes before matriculation.
I'm a senior and will be hopefully be getting acceptances to some med schools in the next 5 or 6 months.
Is it okay if I just take them at a community college near my home during the summer? Or is it frowned upon?

There are some institutions that require prerequisite completion either before application or before January of the application year. Ideally, you read school websites closely enough to avoid those schools.

Hopefully, any summer schools you'd plan to use would have enough of a gap between the end of the summer session and your matriculation that they could get a transcript to the med school prior to med school classes starting.

I would guess a lot of med schools start before undergrad summer schools finish
