Hey guys,

I have some questions floating around in my head I'm hoping someone can give me a different perspective on...

I've paid for and scheduled my DAT for this August and planned on applying this June 2014 cycle.

However, some stuff has come up regarding my son and I don't want to place him in daycare or under anyone else's care while he's still this young (8 months).

So, I would like to take this summer completely off,then start back part time nights in the fall so I can be with him during the day. I would continue part time for the duration on my pre reqs (only have a few left), then apply summer 2015.

I'm just wondering if schools will look down on this. Has anyone else been through this type (or similar) situation?

I don't see it as detrimental to your application. You have a family to tend to, like many on the admissions committees can relate.
