Hi all,
I am new to this site. I am a non-traditional student who tries to fulfill the dental prerequisites for UTSA/UTHouston/Baylor College of Dentistry. I have been accepted to start summer courses at Texas State (San Marcos), late acceptance. My predental advisor wants me to take Chem I/Chem II and Physics I/Physics II for summer 09 at Texas State. The problem is...Chem I only lecture session is full and Physics I lab session has 2 seats available. My back up plan, in case I cannot get in this summer at Texas State, is to take these 4 courses at Austin Community College (whose credits are transferable/acceptalbe at texas state and at any Texas dental school). My question is ...Will it affect much my profile when I apply for Texas dental schools with only one summer taking these courses at a community college level and the rest of the dental prerequisites will be at Texas State?
I am currently a registered general/vascular sonographer who is working at a hospital setting. So I work with doctors and patients on a routine basis.
Thanks,
TiTi
