When you take the actual DAT are you able to use the keyboard shortcuts? For example just press "A" on the keyboard to select/deselect answer choice A. Also can you resize the the screen so you can see the periodic table and questions at the same time?

lol you cannot do any of those things. There are no shortcuts. You would be lucky if the mouse clicks at all and the calculator buttons don't stick!

There is no keyboard. It's you, a monitor, a mouse, and hopefully some markers that work. Practice that way. You won't have a 10-key for the calculator on QR. So get used to clicking it out and hope your station doesn't lag every time you launch it.

Of course, Ctrl F doesn't work, and scroll wheel on the mouse doesn't work either. But when you do reading, the arrow key on the keyboard works so you can use that to scroll down the passage. I had the keyboard at my testing center. Also, number pad doesn't work for the calculator either.

Some test centers keep the keyboards there but disable them (mine did). You have no access to the 10-key numpad, let alone any keys on the keyboard. For the calculator section, you can't key in the numbers through the keyboard. You have to manually click them using the mouse. If you want to simulate this testing condition when you're working with Math Destroyer for example, you can always open up the default Windows calculator and use your mouse to click the numbers.

A word of caution though: using the calculator on the DAT will definitely slow you down. The best advice I can tell you for the QR section is to avoid the on-screen calculator as much as possible. Learn to do a lot of mental math for the QR section. A lot of DAT books/QR videos teach shortcuts to arrive at answers without the need of a calculator. I think I only used the calculator probably 3 times for my QR section, and that was to only check my answer. The QR section is entirely do-able without the aid of a calculator.
