Seems like most people take the DAT after submitting their applications, I am wondering why this is (I suppose it's due to lack of time before summer break). Wouldn't it be more prudent to have your scores before deciding which schools you have a shot at?

I am planning to take the DAT during winter break and apply as soon as AADSAS opens, what will happen to the scores that will be sent to the schools picked when registering for the DAT? Thanks.

I am doing that...they just hold onto your scores...it works.

Apply to a wide range of schools so that you can maximize your chances. You do not want to wait untila fter your dat is done to apply, because then you have to wait for aadsas and schools to get their act together. Unless you will have your DAT done by early June at the latest you gotta get your app in first to maximize your chances.
