Taking the DAT Tomorrow - Species Question

I'm taking the DAT Tomorrow and I'm just going through these questions on Top Score.

There seems to be few too many questions about species of bacteria/organisms that I've never heard before and probably won't hear from again.

Like its okay if they refer to terms like Chordate/Echioderms but things like Schistosomiasis? Taenia? WTF.

When I first wrote my DAT there was essentially almost nothing on them however it seems like 1/2 questions are about species on Topscore Test #3 (WTF).

Do we really need to know that much about species?

I had the same reaction when i got to those questions. Who knows. I don't think anyone can give you a definite answer. I would like to say no.

tests differ, i searched sdn & people would comment from having 0 questions, to have 7 questions, with the average being 1-2 questions show up on their exams.

Additionally, people seemed to state that Q's were not AS specific as topscore, but many people seemed to say just to study it if you had the time anyway.

Actually, everyone gets 3 taxonomy questions.
