Taking the DAT

When is the best time to take the DAT? If I get all my paperwork in before the Fall (that is letter of recommendation,application,ect) and the test results in my October, is that too late?

How late you can get your scores in is a function of how well you do.

At this moment, I feel that taking the DAT in August or September will not help me since I feel now that I am not ready. I am studying Organic Chemistry and it is not sticking. I am a traditional student and I have been out of school awhile. I need to make a 22 or higher to get any consideration. I have taken the test 3 times already and I have just gotten permission to take it again and do not want to blow this chance.
