I am hoping the experts on here can help me out. I realize that when I took the PCAT for the first time in June, that my score was compared to the average scores of those who took the test in 1998 - 2003. However, was I compared to first time test takers only, or all test takers? I am under the assumptions that when I took it the first time I was only compared to the first-timers in that date range whereas when I take the PCAT for the second time (August) I will now be compared to those 2+ time test takers from that 6 year range, which, I also assume, will be "harder" since second+ timers know what the test is like, etc. Am I correct on this? If not please let me know.
Also, if I take this test again in August, and my composite goes DOWN, even though schools look at the best composite they still see both scores, so won't this have a negative effect if it happens? If my individual scores increase for the most part, but my composite decreases, how does THAT look? Just trying to take in all the possible scenarios here before I start getting serious about prep-work for PCAT Round 2.
Moreover, I didn't do this, but if I hadn't signed up to have Harcourt send my second round's scores to anybody but me, instead of sending it to PharmCAS and other schools, too, could I have successfully "hid" them so that way unless they were better and I paid to have them sent on after the fact, none of the schools would see them? It's sneaky, and I imagine it's not allowed, but curiosity got me here.
Sorry for so many run-ons and so forth in this post. I really do know and understand how to use the English language, but it's late and I wanted to jot these down before I forgot them by morning. 😛 Thanks all. 😴 Time for sleep now!
