So I only submitted one secondary to NOVA. I submitted in nov. and hadn't heard anything from them. Calling and emailing got me a lot of "your app is under review and we'll let you know." As I'm about to give up all hope, I find a letter addressed to me but was written for another applicant, saying this applicant missed her feb 6th interview and her app was removed. I emailed rachel about this and she was like 'oh thanks for bringing this to my attention. so i'm clear did you receive an interview invite?" i replied that I hadn't received anything since november and she then offers me an interview for feb 25th. Lol that seems weird to me.

That seems really disorganized and unprofessional to me.

Congrats on getting the interview invite!! I do agree with prions. I'm guessing that other student won't find out but if it was me and I did find out I would be pissed!! It also seems fishy that they gave you an interview when you called about it almost like they figured that would take your mind off the fact that they royally screwed up. Not saying you don't deserve it or anything. Nova is highly highly unimpressive in terms of their admissions office. All the admission offices my husband and I have dealt with have been at least 100 times more organized. Why can't they get it together already?

NOVA must not have their stuff together very well. I applied to 11 DO schools in back in July and received interviews from every one of them (PCOM, CCOM, KCOM, etc.) very quickly but not a single stinkin' word from NOVA. I refuse to believe that their standards are so much higher than PCOM's. I certainly don't think I'm "entitled" to an interview there, it just seems strange that schools with higher stats all send me invites pretty quick but they are mum after 7 months. I think they lost my application. Good thing I wasn't that interested in them. I would have called them, but once I started receiving acceptances I decided florida wasn't for me.

Not surprisingly, the silence came after cashing the secondary check.

A few of the allo schools I applied to were like that. Jerks.

the same thing happened to me with nova. It is without a doubt the most unprofessional admissions office out of all the MD and DO schools I applied to (possibly in the nation too). I thought long and hard about putting an effort into a school that represents themselves as bad as Nova does in admissions. Congrats on the interview though! after you get in, you can rip them a new one for all of us who have been ignored for years.
