It's not a huge part of my PS(~6 lines). It influenced me a lot as a person and I think would improve my narrative. But I'm not sure if it's professional and if spoilers are allowed. Can someone give me advice on this topic? Would be happy to PM if you have the time.

It's best to write about your own personal experiences and not some portrayal in a movie. 6 lines is also a lot of space to dedicate for something impersonal like this. Just my thoughts.

A movie inspired you to be a doctor? Was it a documentary? A biography? If not, it's going to come off a superficial.

I talked about one (actually a tv show) in a college essay and it had pretty good success. So I guess if the show was related to medicine it could work. Most of the time, the way in which ideas are conveyed are more important than the ideas themselves.

Disclaimer. College essays are usually encouraged to be a bit more “quirky” than medical schools essays.

Hi! I talked about a popular children's TV show in my PS in my introduction and I have received great feedback. I have been admitted to a T10 (although rankings are subjective). I think as long as you have people read it to make sure that you get the point that you want across, you will be more than fine.

Maybe you could convey the content or message of the movie as inspiration or motivation without mentioning the name of the film or that a film has guided your activities, so you aren't sounding like a basketcase who, in every possible instance, attempts to infuse fantasy and drama into reality.
