Hey NY students,

I was just wondering if you noticed that your TAP award for medical school was substantially lower than what you got for Undergrad. I got a decent chunk for U-grad but am only getting like 1/5 of that for medical school. Finances are not different from any previous year for my family. Anyone else experiencing this? Do they just not give as much for medical school as for undergrad?

Yup, that's just how it works for grad students. I believe the maximum is 550.

I just got a package from a SUNY school and was thinking wtf? when I saw the tap grant. Everything else is just loans. Oh well.

yeah my tap is like $40. that's barely gonna buy me food for a day or two. i think it's a little embarrassing.
