So...

I currently work at pediatric hospital in my home state. I work 2nd shift, 7 on/7 off. I feel the need to get a part-time job with the amount of free time I have on my week off. I've been wanting to dabble in retail as hospital practice has been my main background. I've been considering Target and have an interview scheduled with them next week.

Does anyone have an opinion they would like to share regarding Target (i.e. workload, pay, benefits, etc.)? As a novice in the retail world, I'd appreciate any recommendations and opinions regarding my possible future place of part-time employment!

I recently started working with Target as a grad intern but will be beginning as pharmacist soon. The pay is pretty comparable in my area and so are the benefits. 2 weeks vacation, 401K matching after 1 year. Workload is not bad either considering a store that does 100 scripts is considered busy. However, all of this may depend on the location. The shifts are 12 hrs though! You may want to ask if they are going to have you float since it seems most new hires float the first year.

I work relief with Target right now in NorCal. Currently receiving $53.80 with no benefits. I've heard that they bumped Rph with no benefits up to $65. Can anyone confirm? I'm going to talk to the DM if that is the case.
