I walked in Target and handed in my resume to the Pharmacist Manager. I told her that this target was hiring and i would like to work here. She was pretty cool about it. She "kind of" gave me an interview after reading my resume. Then she told me if she can copy my certification ID card and when i am available to work. She straight up told me that she wants an interview next week. Side note on my resume: I have a BS degree, volunteer experience as a pharm clerk, and a certification/license as a pharm tech.

Is this a good sign? I never got a called back from HR setting up an interview but i called in and the Pharmacist manager said there is going to be an interview.

i used to work for target... from what you're saying, sounds like you'll get the job as long as the competition doesn't have really good experience or good resume like yours. i think the whole hiring process took 3-4 weeks. dropped off resume, called in for 1 interview, called in for interview with pharmacist, then called in to accept or decline job offer. and don't forget the drug test/background check

did you ever get the job?

I think it'll be a lot similar to the previous interview. They'll probably compare notes before making a final decision. Usually the pharmacy manager has the final say in hiring, at least at the CVS I'm at.

That's good that you met with the Manager in person which saves you time because they usually do a screening interview through the phone before they give you a live one from my own experiences. Good luck!
