"C" stands for the number of copies of DNA, if that makes sense. So at the end of Meiosis I, your homologous chromosomes separated, so it is 1N now, but your sister chromatids still stick together and they are identical copies of each other, so that's 2C of DNA for each cell. At the end of meiosis II, your sister chromatids separated now, so each cell's DNA now is 1N, 1C. Hope that helps!
