Can someone explain this to me? I'm under the impression for neutralization you use N1V1=N2V2. How do the moles of OH- = 2 x moles CaCO3? 😕

CaCO3 dissociates into Ca^2+ and CO3^2-. To neutralize the positive 2 charge, you need two equivalents of OH-.

I believe the formula you have in mind is used for dilution. M1V1=M1V2
