Can anybody explain me the answers for both? I didn't really understand the one from BR. Are what molecule reacts in which a set of rules or it is something to memorize?

This is my first time posting something like this. So, I was not sure if I had to write down the question as well. I just didn't want it to be copyright infringement.

You can write the entire question + answers + passage as necessary. Many people here don't have ready access to the books.
