hey guys in passage 1, i dont understand how white ball has a longer range if its thrown at 30 degrees compared to 60 degrees. in the chapter tbr says 30 and 60 both have same range but 60 degrees has a max height. the explanation says ssomething baout elevation. could someone with the book please help me? thanks

IIRC, this is about a cannonball launched off a cliff.

The 30-60 thing is only if initial and final heights are the same. Turns out, launching off an elevated platform does not yield equal range for complementary angles. Launching at 30 degrees will result in a greater range than the 60 degree launch.
