Yay!

I just got an invite to set up an interview with U. of North Texas (aka TCOM)!
It's my second interview in Texas, and even though it was the only DO school I applied to, I can already tell that they have a NICE program. The students are happy and the atmosphere is good. All the interview feedback seems to say these two things over and over again. Plus, Fort Worth is just a nice place to live.
Anyone interviewed here already??

I interviewed there a couple of weeks ago... the main interview day was pretty standard.... two interviews with faculty members, a nice lunch with the students (they take you out to a restaurant), tour of campus (nicest anatomy lab I've ever seen and the upper floors have a reallly nice view of the city), and financial aid info session. We had the chance to sit in on an OMM class in the afternoon which was cool. I am applying for rural track (I mentioned this on another thread) so we have a second day of interviews in a rural town (with a family practice TCOM alum) which was fun and we got to do a couple of patient histories ourself (and the doc evaluated us). Everyone seemed really enthusiastic and encouraged us to go there... no really difficult interview questions either. :luck:

I interviewed there on 8/24 and it was great. I think you will have a relaxing and enjoyable day.

Just a tip, arrive a little early so you can get a spot in the parking garage that is covered and not on the roof. My car felt like an inferno after the day was said and done because it was in the hot sun all day.

Congratulations.

I think I submitted on 08-30, so I was really (pleasantly) surprised when I got the e-mail from them two days later!

I wasn't really expecting it that fast, but I'm glad it happened!

Did you guys get the invite that fast? Or did I just get extra lucky?

My brother got an interview there the very beginning of August, I believe it was the second. Anyone hear anything about acceptances yet? Thanks.

They told me that they would start sending OOS acceptances 10/15 and in-state acceptances in Nov.

i'll be there on the 12th of September. Coming from Houston.

I'm officially scheduled for September 21st!

I'm excited 😀 .

Good luck to the rest of you with your interview!

What is the processing time btw submission of the application and interview? I submitted my TMDSAS app a two weeks ago...and I just submitted my secondaries this week. I am still waiting on my rec letters and transcript Although I had a friend who received an interview without her rec letters, is it hurting my chances by not having the documents in? (There is pretty much nothing I can do to expedite the process since it is the peak period.) 😕

I submitted TMDSAS in July, and I just got the TCOM interview invite last night! It was so nice how they call, and they accomodate your schedule really well. It should be a good day. This is my first interview invite this year!

Did anyone else notice that 10/15 is on a sunday??? hehe I really hope I get in it's killing me to wait, I went for my interview on 9/5 and it went better than I could possibly imagine. But being an OSS makes it pretty scary to think about acceptance considering our odds. I hope it works out 🙄

To celebrate you being in my neck of the woods, I shall take a biology test that day.
